First, it is NOT illegal in the state of Oregon to shoot
aerial class C 1.4 display shells and cakes and
rockets and roman candles and any other aerial
display product. It is not necessary to travel to
Washington and buy them from the Indian Reservations
and bring them back into the state under cover.
There is a currently a specific legal process in place to allow you the opportunity to
show off your inner pyro. The problem is, most people don't know about it, and
it appears to be another way for the state to take money from the residents.
It’s time to educate the public, regarding the current legal process,
and band together as a voice to be heard in Salem. We need our legislators to respond
to our desire for a change in the current laws pertaining to aerial fireworks. The state wants $50.00 and an
officially filed permit application signed off by
the local fire authority and the local police or
sheriffs office. Instead of controlling the end users, they should be controlling
the suppliers, sellers, and wholesalers.

ask for a change. Politicians listen to voters.

unison. Politicians affect a change, when blocks of
